Rana M. Usman Khan is an Audit and Assurance Partner at Yousuf Adil Chartered Accountants. With close to three decades of experience in the fields of accountancy, auditing, taxation, and management consultancy, accounting and advisory services Rana is one of the most distinguished assets of the firm.

Prior to joining YA, he was heading accounts function of one of the largest listed company in Pakistan in the Telecom sector.

Rana has served over 20 years with big four accountancy firms in Pakistan and handled a diversified portfolio of clients, both multinational and local organizations in public and private sectors. He has worked on various assignments including audits, reviews, advisory services, due diligence, valuations, systems designs and reviews and trainings.

Rana has handled various listed companies’ audits of financial statements where the focus had been to achieve compliance with financial reporting frameworks including International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs) and the application of ethical and technical guidance on auditing provided by International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) including the Code of Ethics for Chartered Accountants, International Standards on Auditing (ISAs) and other technical material.

Rana has also served on the Northern Regional Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) for three consecutive terms (12 years), Council of the ICAP for the term 2017-21 and the Vice President ICAP for the term 2019-20. He has/is also served/serving on various other prominent committees/Boards of ICAP including Auditing Standards and Ethics Committee, Accounting Standards Board and Digital Accounting and Assurance Board. At present he is representing ICAP at Asian Oceanian Standard Setters Group (AOSSG) as Vice Chairman. In addition to that, Rana has written and presented papers and delivered lectures on professional topics such as IFRS, ISAs and Corporate Governance at both international and national conferences, seminars and workshops arranged by ICAP, ICMAP and IIA.

Rana is a Fellow Chartered Accountant of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan.
